The rise of Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated actress reportedly close to securing professional representation, has sparked heated reactions in Hollywood.
While some see her as a technological breakthrough, others warn she could undermine human talent.
Here’s what five celebrities had to say:
1. Emily Blunt

Reacting with shock, Blunt described Tilly as a threat to human connection in cinema.
“No, are you serious? That’s an AI? Good Lord, we’re screwed. That is really, really scary. Come on, agencies, don’t do that. Please stop. Please stop taking away our human connection.”
2. Whoopi Goldberg

On The View, Goldberg warned that AI performers strip away authenticity.
“Some industries are using AI now. People talk about people are so lonely they don’t have a connection, if you stick with this, with AI, you won’t have any connection to anything but your phone… It’s a little bit of an unfair advantage.”
3. Melissa Barrera

The Scream star criticised agents considering AI representation, urging actors to protest.
“Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$. How gross, read the room.”
4. Mara Wilson

The former Matilda actress questioned why AI was chosen over real women.
“And what about the hundreds of living young women whose faces were composited together to make her? You couldn’t hire any of them?”
5. Nicholas Alexander Chavez

Chavez dismissed the hype around Tilly altogether, saying, “Not an actress, actually nice try.”
