A 24-year-old graduate, Blessing Enegho, who is battling a severe brain condition, is seeking financial assistance.

Enegho, who graduated from nursing school in April, is diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She has been in severe pain since her graduation as a trained nurse.

The financial appeal was contained in a document sent to The PUNCH on Wednesday by her church, the Catholic Church of Transfiguration, Laity, Arepo, Ogun State.

Enegho was diagnosed with a brain tumor in November, a few months after she graduated from nursing school.

A brain tumor is an abnormal growth of cells in or around the brain. It may be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and can be primary, meaning it originates in the brain, or secondary, meaning it spreads from another part of the body.

Symptoms vary depending on the tumor’s size and location, but commonly include persistent headaches, seizures, vision problems, weakness, balance difficulties and changes in personality or behaviour.

The document reads, “Blessing Enegho is currently battling a brain tumor and is in urgent need of life-saving surgery.

“Please consider supporting her during this challenging time.

“Any amount will go a long way to help Blessing get the surgery and treatment she urgently needs. The total amount needed is N18million.”

Attached to the document was a laboratory test report from the Afriglobal Medicare laboratory.

The report partly reads, “Features are suggestive of Meningioma with obstructive non-communicating hydrocephalus.”

Contributions can be made to the church account below:
