The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will on Thursday, October 9, 2025, host its annual colloquium where distinguished Nigerians and institutions will be honoured for their contributions to leadership, reputation management and nation building.
The event, themed “Leadership and Reputation: The Role of Public Relations in Building Trust in Nigeria,” is scheduled to take place at the Theatre Hall, AA Entertainment and Tourism Ltd (formerly Park Inn by Radisson), Kuto, Abeokuta, at 9:30 am.
Among the awardees are the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun; Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, wife of former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Rector of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Igbesa, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye; and AA Entertainment and Tourism Ltd, among others.
Ogun State Governor and Patron of the Chapter, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will attend as Special Guest of Honour, while the Guest Speaker is Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe, Chairman/CEO of TPT International Limited. The President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, is expected to formally declare the colloquium open, with Hon. Ladi Adebutu serving as Chairman of the occasion.
The organisers noted that the colloquium is designed not only to celebrate excellence but also to deepen conversations around leadership, trust and reputation in Nigeria.
Chairman of the Ogun NIPR, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, mnipr, mapra, and Chairman of the Planning Committee, Afolabi Orekoya, explained in a statement that the awards and deliberations would “promote nation building, encourage positive reputation, and lend a voice to matters of national concern.”
