One of the Awujale royal sons, Prince Oladapo Oluwatosin Ayodele Osunsanya, has advocated that the throne must continue to stand as a beacon of cultural pride, economic strength, and modern governance among others as standards for the stool.
Prince Osunsanya’s advocacy was contained in a news release that was made available to The Eagle Online on Friday.
The Prince, while speaking on his vision, stressed the need to strengthen the Awujale institution as a platform where culture, economy, governance, and relevance of Ijebuland can be deliberately advanced.


“I am committed to advancing the noble aspirations of the Ijebu people, including our long-standing quest for a State of our own,” he stated.
The Prince is of the Tunwase-Oduba Royal Family, specifically through the Fusenguwa Ruling House, one of the officially recognised ruling houses of Ijebuland and a direct descendant of Awujale Adesimbo Tunwase.
He is among the royal sons whose names continue to feature prominently in the ongoing discussions surrounding the Awujale stool.
