The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has officially announced the commencement of registration for the 2026 NWFL Nationwide season, inviting clubs across the country to participate in its third tier competition.
This was made public in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by the spokesman of the NWFL, Samuel Ahmadu, on Saturday.
It was confirmed that payment for registration for the third division of the Nigeria Women Football League opens on April 13, 2026 and closes on June 30, 2026.
According to Ahmadu, the registration fee for the 2026 NWFL Nationwide season is fixed at ₦550,000, while clubs that participated in the 2025 edition may also be required to pay additional caution or expulsion fees, which will be communicated individually where applicable.

Also speaking, the NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, noted that the Nationwide division remains open to all interested clubs across Nigeria, providing a valuable platform for emerging teams to compete at a structured national level.
Shabi further explained that the registration process will run in phases, with payments scheduled between April 13 and June 30, 2026, while the registration portal will open on May 30, 2026 and close on July 10, 2026, ahead of the new season kick-off in August.
She emphasised that the entire registration process for the 2026 season will be conducted strictly online, in line with the league’s commitment to efficiency, transparency, and ease of access.
Relevant documents, including club licensing requirements and player registration forms, have been made available to guide participating teams through a seamless registration process.
Venue, dates and schedule for this year’s edition will be announced in due course.
