Sweden head coach Graham Potter has named his 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
Potter opted against naming a wider provisional squad, instead selecting the final group he intends to take to the tournament.
Sweden will open their Group F campaign against Tunisia in Mexico on June 14.
Alexander Isak is among seven players recalled after missing Sweden’s play-off matches against Ukraine and Poland in March.
Isak Hien and Eric Smith also returned after recovering from injuries suffered during the previous international window.
Alexander Bernhardsson and Emil Holm regained fitness in time to make the squad.
However, the tournament came too soon for Dejan Kulusevski, who was left out after his long injury absence at Tottenham Hotspur.
One of the major surprises was the omission of Roony Bardghji, who made 26 appearances during his debut season with FC Barcelona.
Spain-based attacker Williot Swedberg also failed to make the final squad.
In goal, Potter recalled Viktor Johansson and Jacob Widell Zetterstrom after both missed the March international fixtures.
The pair are expected to serve as back-ups to Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
Potter also included Elliot Stroud and Eric Smith despite both players yet to earn senior international caps.
The Sweden coach said: “We have turned and turned every stone and investigated the possibilities and I have carefully considered the situation before making this decision, which was very tough.”
He added: “I have chosen a group that can stand strong together and in which the players get the best out of each other.
“A tournament is something different from an ordinary gathering, we are faced with other challenges over time that we need to handle together.
“And we build that capacity with the right mix of players, where everyone matters.”
