He added that the country must leverage the midstream and downstream sectors to drive industrial growth, job creation and economic sustainability.
Kikile, said Nigeria was at a defining moment in its energy journey and must take deliberate steps to deepen local capacity and reduce dependence on foreign expertise and services.
Kikile said the Board remained committed to implementing policies that would ensure more value is retained within the country while boosting local manufacturing and service delivery capabilities.
He stressed that the summit theme was aimed at mobilising critical stakeholders to develop practical strategies for expanding Nigerian Content across the industry value chain.
According to him, stakeholders must work collectively to unlock investment opportunities, strengthen indigenous participation and improve the competitiveness of Nigerian companies operating in the sector.
Kikile noted that discussions at the summit would focus on improving compliance, governance, operational efficiency and sustainable development within the midstream and downstream segments.
He said the summit would also serve as a platform for regulators, investors, operators, financial institutions and service providers to forge strategic partnerships capable of accelerating growth in the sector.
“NCDMB remains committed to advancing policies and programmes that promote value retention within the country, create employment opportunities for Nigerians, strengthen local manufacturing and service capabilities, and deepen strategic partnerships across the industry value chain,” he stated.
He expressed optimism that the summit would generate actionable outcomes and practical solutions to further strengthen local capacity and enhance the competitiveness of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
