Cyril Odenigbo honoured with UN Peace Ambassador award

Cyril Chikwelu Odenigbo, a prominent Nigerian figure and the driving force behind Magnus Film Academy, Magnus Media Studios, and iDOFF Technology, has been recognized for his significant contributions to peace with the prestigious Peace Ambassador Award from the United Nations-backed International Cities of Peace (UNICP).

The announcement, made on April 21, 2025, by UNICP under the leadership of Chair and Lead Facilitator J. Fred Arment, highlighted Odenigbo’s “outstanding contributions to peace and leadership.”

Arment affirmed that the award was a well-deserved acknowledgement of Odenigbo’s dedication to peacebuilding through media, youth empowerment, storytelling, and the development of innovative digital solutions that are positively impacting Nigeria and contributing to broader global peace narratives.

In the official award letter, UNICP lauded Amb. Odenigbo’s “worthy leadership qualities in the film industry and peace building in Nigeria and globally,” expressing their pride in recognizing his accomplishments and celebrating his success.

With over 28 years of experience in the film industry, Amb. Odenigbo has been a pivotal figure in shaping Nigeria’s film and media landscape. His Magnus Film Academy has played a crucial role in empowering thousands of young individuals with skills in acting, filmmaking, and creative production.

Upon receiving the honour, Amb. Cyril Odenigbo dedicated the recognition to all peace-loving Nigerians. He reiterated his unwavering commitment to leveraging storytelling, digital innovation, and creative media as powerful tools for fostering positive change and unity within the nation.
