Recently, Kazeem Tewogbade, Group CEO and Co-Founder of Bluechip Technologies, shared his story with friends, colleagues, and industry figures at the release of his memoir, ‘Unlikely’.

The book reflects on his early years, the experiences that shaped his rise in the tech sector, and offers insights into the values and vision guiding his future.

“Consequently, I felt it was important, and it was time I documented my journey to prove that, however unlikely success may seem, with hard work and faith, and in hopefulness for a better tomorrow, success is achievable,” Tewogbade noted.

During the launch, Olumide Soyombo, also a Co-Founder of Bluechip Technologies, delivered a review of the memoir, detailing the author’s struggles, bond with his mother, creative quirks in his writing style, and drive.

The book follows Tewogbade’s path from a modest childhood in Mushin and Isolo to his role in Nigeria’s data solutions sector. It shows how early experiences with family, discipline, and loss shaped his outlook and ambition. The story presents his progress as a product of resilience, community support, and steady effort rather than a chain of dramatic breakthroughs.

It also reflects on the early telecom years in Nigeria and how his interest in technology led him into work that later grew into Bluechip Technologies.

“I also shared in ‘Unlikely’ some reflections on how we have built Bluechip Technologies to be a leading Pan-African IT services company; how we keep adapting and advancing; how we have ensured over the years that our words are our bond; and how we see integrity from three different perspectives — value delivery, commercial fidelity, and ethics.”

Surrounded by his wife and children, who used the moment to reiterate their love and care for him, Tewogbade reflectively said:

“So to my kids, please make sure you determine outcomes that match and even surpass your parents’ efforts. At the end of the day, after everything is said and done, make your mum and me realise that you are our best accomplishment individually and collectively.”

The event brought together notable figures, including Father of Olumide Soyombo, Mr Kayode Soyombo; Founder of Troika Group, Dr Biodun Shobanjo; renowned entrepreneur in banking, manufacturing, and media, Chief Kayode Aderinnokun; Pioneer MD of Skye Bank, Mr Sola Akinfenwa; Founder of Centerspread Advertising, Mr Kola Ayanwale; and renowned financial expert, Mr Kunle Owuye, among others.
