TY Logistics Park FZE has unveiled West African’s first Grade-A Free Zone Contract Logistics Facility in the Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, marking a major milestone for Nigerian’s logistics and industrial sector.

Speaking at the facility’s inauguration, the Chairman of TY Logistics Park, Mr. Theo Danjuma Jr, said the facility is, “a purpose-built platform that solves long-standing supply chain inefficiencies and positions Nigeria as a competitive hub for regional trade”.

Located beside the Lekki Deep Sea Port and within minutes of the upcoming international airport, the 29,000sqm facility offers over 45,000 pallet positions, advanced storage systems, and a fully automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) providing real-time visibility and audit-ready operations.

According to him, “Three years ago, our Chairman, General TY Danjuma (rtd), made a bold decision to invest in land here in Alaro City, with the vision of creating a purpose-built, Grade-A logistics platform that would redefine how goods move across Nigeria and West Africa.

“Under the leadership of our CEO, Arno Van Der Merwe, TY Logistics Park FZE now delivers full contracts logistics solutions to medium and large businesses across FMCG, electronics, automotive parts, fashion, pharmaceuticals and many other industries.”

In his goodwill message, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to enabling private-sector-led industrial growth, noting that the Lekki axis is becoming Africa’s new manufacturing and logistics powerhouse.

The governor said the TY Logistics Park is a project that will permanently sit in the economic story of Lagos and indeed Nigeria, adding: “The project is not just an impressive development, but about a bold statement of what our country is headed for.”

The governor advised other investors sitting on the sideline to come on board to invest.

Also speaking at the event, the Founder and Group CEO of Rendeavour, Mr. Stephen Jennings, highlighted the strategic role of industrial and residential ecosystems like Alaro City in attracting investments and strengthening Nigeria’s global trade competitiveness.

“Today is a milestone not only for the promoters of this development, but for Nigeria, for Africa, and for the future of international trade and modern logistics on this continent,” he said.

He equally commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his steadfast support for infrastructure-led development in the state.

“I would also like to acknowledge the Chairman of Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited, Mr. Biodun Dabiri, who has played a pivotal role in the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the wider Lekki Free Zone,” he said.

He also thanked the Chairman of Rendeavour for West Africa and CEO of Alaro City, Yomi Ademola, with the entire team at Alaro City.

Among other dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas; General TY Danjuma (rtd); his wife, Senator Daisy Danjuma; traditional rulers from Lagos, including Oloja of Epe, Taraba, Bauchi and Delta.
