Joeboy loses N3m bet as Arsenal stun Real Madrid in Champions League clash – The Sun Nigeria

Joeboy, a Nigerian artist, lost a N3 million bet when Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday.

Seven hours before kick-off, Joeboy posted a betting slip with the caption, “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!”

The Controller crooner could have won N10,345,000 if Madrid has won at the Emirates.

But Declan Rice curled in two magnificent free kicks to put the Gunners ahead, and Mikel Merino added a third.

As a result, Joeboy was unable to tweet more than “Goodnight” at full time.

Arsenal will aim to advance to the semi-finals when they go to the Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg next Wednesday.
