Music diva, Tiwa Savage said she has never experienced true love in her romantic relationships.
The 44-year-old songstress stated this in an interview with Zeze Mills.
She said true love has continued to elude her, as she did not experience it even while married.
Tiwa Savage was married to her former manager, Tunji “Tee Billz” Balogun from 2013 to 2018.
The union produced a son, Jamil, born in June 2015.
She said, “I don’t think I’ve experienced true love apart from my son. Because every time I look back at all my relationships, I’m like, nah, that wasn’t love. I was just infatuated. At that time, I thought I was in love. I don’t think I experienced true love even when I was married.”
Tiwa Savage said every effort she made to find true love proved abortive, bringing her to the conclusion that it might not be for her.
“Maybe love isn’t for me because I have tried over and over again so maybe love isn’t for me this lifetime,” she said.
