The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially accredited Namiri Technology Limited’s DigiTax platform, a leading pan-African e-invoicing and tax compliance service, as an Access Point Provider (APP) and System Integrator (SI) for Nigeria’s e-invoicing system under the Merchant Buyer Solution (MBS) platform.

To support their expansion into Nigeria, the company has appointed Olumide Akinsola as Country Director. Olumide is a seasoned operator with nearly two decades of experience spanning growth, operations, sales, marketing, product strategy, and business development across the African tech ecosystem. He has successfully launched, scaled, pivoted, and exited businesses, including leading the growth and eventual acquisition of QuickBus in Nigeria and other markets.

Olumide brings proven expertise in navigating compliance, building high-performing teams, and creating partnerships that drive sustainable impact. At DigiTax, he will spearhead Nigerian operations, working closely with regulators, enterprises, and the broader ecosystem to ensure the smooth adoption of e-invoicing under the FIRS MBS platform.

Their Nigeria-ready compliance suite delivers real-time invoice validation fully aligned with FIRS MBS requirements, giving businesses confidence that every transaction meets regulatory standards. To make adoption even easier, the company provides a free Testing and Sandbox environment where businesses can test their integrations before going live. Its powerful integration capabilities also enable the upload of large volumes of items together with corresponding sales invoices and credit notes. Furthermore, all of this activity is consolidated seamlessly within a customer’s existing ERP, accounting or operations system, eliminating the need to manage multiple platforms. DigiTax supports seamless ERP and API integrations with platforms such as SAP, MS Dynamics, Oracle, Sage, Zoho, QuickBooks, Odoo, and other bespoke systems, along with a user-friendly web portal for direct access. Businesses can run end-to-end B2B and B2C invoice workflows tailored to Nigerian regulations, supported by onboarding and dedicated customer support to ensure a smooth transition during the phased rollout.

Beyond its system capabilities, the company places a strong focus on data protection, security, and reliability, ensuring Nigerian businesses can trust the platform to manage sensitive financial information while meeting government compliance standards.

The company is building on its track record of success across Africa, where it supports over 800 businesses that they’ve enabled to process millions of invoices amounting to over $10 billion in sales invoices and credit notes.

As FIRS advances with its phased rollout, the company is positioning itself as a trusted compliance partner for Nigerian enterprises navigating the digital transition. With a secure, scalable and proven solution, businesses can achieve compliance with confidence, while reducing operational burdens and accelerating digital adoption.

“Nigeria is a key market for DigiTax, and this accreditation by FIRS is a strong validation of our pan-African expertise,” said Caine Wanjau, CEO of DigiTax. “We look forward to working with all businesses in Nigeria to support them on this journey.
