The Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Segun Odunmbaku, on Tuesday swore in the 21 newly appointed supervisors and special advisers, urging them to put politics aside and focus on delivering development and good governance to residents.

According to a statement made available to The PUNCH on Tuesday, the swearing-in ceremony was held at the council secretariat.

The statement noted that Odunmbaku urged the new appointees that the council and his administration need their cooperation and commitment.

He reminded them that the time to play politics had ended, noting that it was now time for work. He also told them to be loyal to the party and his administration and to work for the progress of the council.

The statement quoted Odunmbaku as saying, “To the new supervisors, the community needs you. This is the time to work, not to play politics. You must show you can add value to the community and administration because people are taking note of what we are doing.

“Nobody is bigger than our party because the party is supreme, and there’s a lot for us to achieve. Politics has ended, work has started. This is the moment to cherish for you.

Ojodu LCDA is home. I always look out for everybody, so there’s nothing to fear. The party is supreme.”

In his remarks, the Vice Chairman, Ojodu LCDA, Funmilayo Layeni, commended the chairman for his “large and good heart.”
