The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has completed the issuance of visas for all intending pilgrims from the state for the 2026 Hajj exercise, marking a key milestone in preparations for the annual pilgrimage.

The Executive Chairman of the agency, Alhaji Faruku Yaro, who was represented by the Director of ICT, Alhaji Faruku Jabbo, disclosed this while briefing officials of the agency in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

He described the development as part of the agency’s commitment to ensuring smooth and timely arrangements for pilgrims travelling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“We are pleased to announce that the visa issuance process for all intending pilgrims from Kebbi State has been successfully completed. This is a significant step in our preparations and will allow pilgrims adequate time to finalise other travel requirements before departure,” he said.

Jabbo commended the support of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria and the dedication of the agency’s staff, noting that a joint committee from the ICT and Operations Departments worked tirelessly throughout the week to complete the documentation process.

“The successful completion of this process reflects the dedication and teamwork of our staff, as well as the cooperation we received from NAHCON. We remain committed to ensuring a smooth and well-organised Hajj operation for our pilgrims,” he added.

He also urged the intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and the country during the pilgrimage.

“We encourage all pilgrims to remain law-abiding, participate fully in the scheduled orientation programmes and use the opportunity of their stay in the Holy Land to pray for peace, unity and development in Kebbi State and Nigeria.”

The annual Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah in Saudi Arabia is one of the five pillars of Islam and is obligatory for Muslims who are physically and financially able to undertake the journey at least once in their lifetime.

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency reaffirmed its readiness to provide guidance and logistical support to ensure a smooth and hitch-free Hajj exercise for pilgrims from the state.
