Santos FC forward, Neymar Jr, has expressed his disappointment after being left out of Brazil’s latest national team squad, admitting he feels upset and sad over the decision.

The ex-Barcelona and PSG forward, who has been working his way back to top form, shared an emotional message reflecting on the setback.

According to a post by Fabrizio Romano on X on Tuesday, despite the omission, Neymar made it clear that his focus remains unchanged, stressing his commitment to improving with each training session and match.

“I’m upset, sad, about not being called up. But the focus remains day after day, training after training, game after game.

“We’re going to achieve our goal. There’s still one final call-up left and the dream lives on. That’s it, we’re in this together,” Neymar said in a post shared by Romano.

The omission is largely linked to his recent situation, Neymar has been dealing with injuries and a long recovery period, which has limited his game time and overall sharpness.

As a result, Brazil’s coaching staff have opted to rely on players who are currently fully fit and in consistent form.

There is also a broader transition happening within the Brazil national team, with younger players being given more opportunities as the squad evolves ahead of upcoming major competitions.
