Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has opened up about a personal experience of repeated pregnancy loss, stirring emotional reactions from fans and followers on social media.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, the singer recounted a heartbreaking moment in February 2025 when she suffered another miscarriage after being over three months pregnant.

JudiKay described the loss as “a pain that almost crushed me.”

According to her, what began as mild cramps and spotting quickly escalated into heavy bleeding, forcing her to confront the painful reality of losing the pregnancy, which she noted as her sixth miscarriage.

“I was going about my day, and I started to experience cramps… and then trickles of blood… what I thought should be urine was blood. It didn’t stop, it kept on flowing and I was devasted because I understood what that meant. Automatically, I had lost this baby… and that was the sixth time,” she said.

She revealed that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed a D&C procedure due to what she described as a missed miscarriage.

Despite putting on a brave front afterwards, Judikay admitted that the emotional pain lingered, especially in private moments.

“And I returned home, and I say, ‘Oh yes, God gets the glory’… But then in the silence of the night, I would experience pain that I could not express… I would wail and cry and say, ‘Jesus, where are you?’” she added.

While many await the concluding parts of what JudiKay has tagged as #MyYeshuaStory, her revelation has since resonated deeply with many, prompting an outpouring of support and reflection in the comment section.

Some highlighted the harsh realities people silently endure, with #kelcastlee commenting on Instagram, “People are really going through a lot in their lives secretly,” while #idriisgarba wrote on X, “6 losses is unimaginable. May you find comfort and peace.”

Others reflected on faith and hardship, emphasising that difficult times are not exclusive to any group, including gospel artists.

“Many might say a gospel singer shouldn’t be experiencing such hard times, but then, who were hard times specifically meant for?” #NnayiLexon added on X.

PUNCH reports that Judikay and her husband, Anselem Opara, announced the arrival of their son, Joshua, in March 2022.
