The Anambra State Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Ifeatu Soludo, has engaged local government women coordinators of the group and their deputies across the 21 local government areas of the state as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the meeting, Soludo emphasised the importance of commitment and strategic coordination, noting that the movement’s agenda is time-bound and requires a high level of dedication from members.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the daughter of the Anambra State Governor described women as central to the success of the political support group’s objectives.

According to the statement, she met with the women on Monday and commended their passion and dedication to the movement’s goals.

The statement read, “I had an engaging and productive session yesterday with the City Boy Local Government Women Coordinators and their deputies across the 21 LGAs of Anambra State.

“During our conversation, I explained to them that the agenda at hand is one with a deadline, and we must show strong commitment to achieving nothing short of excellence.

“Women are the backbone of this mission, and I am deeply inspired by the passion, dedication, and energy demonstrated by this remarkable group.”

Soludo further noted that the City Boy Movement is anchored on strategic progressivism and expressed optimism about the role of women in advancing its objectives.

“I am proud to lead Anambra women on this important journey. History awaits. It is indeed City Boy season,” she added.

PUNCH Online had earlier reported on February 26 that the Anambra State Governor’s daughter was appointed as the state women’s leader of President Bola Tinubu’s political support group, the City Boy Movement.

In a brief statement released by the Anambra State Media Director of the City Boy Movement, Adaora was confirmed as the coordinator of the women’s wing of the movement in the state.

A media aide to the Anambra State Governor, Daniel Ezeigwe, also confirmed the development, noting that she would coordinate the activities of the women’s arm of the group across the state.
