3 clubs who might sign Victor Osimhen this summer |

It’s been less than a year since Victor Osimhen signed permanently for Galatasaray for a fee of €75 million. With his recent move, plus the news that there is no release clause in his contract for this summer, prizing him from Galatasaray would now be quite a tall order.

Despite that, it hasn’t stopped many of Europe’s biggest clubs exploring moves for him. Although currently dealing with an injury that has kept him out of the Super Eagles, he had 6 goal involvements in 6 games at AFCON, and continues to perform on the international stage.

He’s also in the form of his life for Galatasaray, including 7 goals in the Champions League, more than stars like Lamine Yamal and Vinicius Junior, and 12 goals in Super Lig. Though it might require a record breaking transfer fee, Europe’s elites continue to take notice. Here’s 3 clubs who may genuinely attempt to sign him next transfer window:

Barcelona

A club who would struggle to afford what is bound to be an obscene price tag on Osimhen, but would love to sign him regardless. Barcelona is a club who have continuously been linked with the Super Eagles striker, even when their financial picture looks troubled at best.

Reports have emerged that Barcelona are ramping up their search for a Robert Lewandowski replacement. Although Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid seems to currently be considered the more feasible option, Barcelona will jump at the opportunity to sign Osimhen if it presents itself.

Most bookmakers in Nigeria have Barcelona as Osimhen’s most likely destination if he were to leave Galatasaray, with odds around 3.50, as of time of writing. If you want to get involved in betting, here’s a bet9ja promotion code to get started.

Bayern Munich

Another team looking to Victor Osimhen as a long-term successor to a legendary striker. Bayern Munich and manager Vincent Kompany continue to make the German Bundesliga look easy, but with the age of Harry Kane, their star man and central goalscorer, replacing him is becoming an issue.

Bayern’s signing of Nicolas Jackson has not yielded the results the club would’ve liked, so Bayern may well start to look at Osimhen as a long-term successor, given he is one of the most prolific goalscorers in the world.

There are also rumours that Kompany would be interested in pairing Kane and Osimhen in the same team, a combination which is bound to scare any defence in Europe.

Chelsea

Chelsea came the closest of any top club to securing Osimhen’s signature. The English transfer window slamming shut in 2024 was the only thing that kept Osimhen out of a Chelsea shirt, as the club and Osimhen’s agents failed to agree on a deal in time.

Despite this, Chelsea continue to rate Osimhen highly. With continued struggles at Stamford Bridge and the poor form of summer signing Liam Delap, Chelsea may well dip back into the market for a world-class and physical striker, and Osimhen is a prime target. Chelsea may well miss out on Champions League football, and if they do, signing Osimhen goes from a longshot to an impossibility.
