Nigerian entertainer Portable has challenged heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua to a fight, saying he would gladly face the former world champion if a ₦1 billion prize was attached to the bout.
The singer made the statement on Thursday during a public face-off ahead of his exhibition boxing match with popular streamer Carter Efe.
Portable, known for mixing music with celebrity boxing appearances, said he believes he is currently the biggest name in Nigeria’s entertainment boxing scene and insisted that no one could take that status from him.
While speaking at the event, he boldly called out Joshua and claimed he was ready to bring the boxing star down if the money was right.
“For ₦1 billion, I will beat Anthony Joshua,” he declared.
Portable is scheduled to face Carter Efe on Friday at Balmoral Hall, located inside Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
The upcoming fight is expected to be another high-profile celebrity boxing showdown, following several similar contests involving the singer.
Earlier this year, Portable revealed that he was paid ₦40 million simply for agreeing to fight Carter Efe.
He also said businessman E-Money and music promoter Soso Soberekon had each promised him ₦50 million and a car if he defeats his opponent.
Carter Efe explained that he accepted the challenge after being told that the winner of the fight would receive ₦50 million.
Portable has built a reputation for himself in celebrity boxing, with several wins already to his name.
In 2025, he defeated internet personality Speed Darlington in a fight that attracted major attention online.
He had earlier beaten actor Charles Okocha in 2023 and also defeated Kelvin Power, bodyguard to singer Kizz Daniel, in 2024.
