Princess Feyikemi Videun-Egbeyemi has been conferred with the prestigious title of Yeye-Meso of Ado-Odo Kingdom by the Oba of Ado and Olofin Adimula Oodua of Ado-Odo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olusola Idris Adebowale Lamidi-Osolo, Otenibotemole II.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated February 28, 2026, and signed by the Secretary to the Palace of Olofin Adimula Oodua of Ado-Odo, Chief Kazeem Akinsola Nasir.
According to the palace, the conferment followed a careful evaluation of Princess Egbeyemi’s track record of selflessness, sense of purpose, reliability, and dedicated service towards the growth and development of Ado-Odo Kingdom.
The palace further stated that the royal father graciously approved her appointment in recognition of her longstanding contributions to humanity and community development.
Reacting to the conferment, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, who also serves as Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN), congratulated Princess Egbeyemi on what he described as a well-deserved honour.
In a congratulatory message from the Royal Court of Ife, the revered monarch noted that the title reflects her exemplary leadership, steadfast commitment to community development, philanthropic endeavours, and dedication to uplifting others.
“This distinguished honour is a testament to your exemplary leadership, your steadfast commitment to community development, your philanthropic endeavours, and your dedication to uplifting others,” the monarch stated.
The Ooni further expressed confidence that Princess Egbeyemi would continue to uphold the values and dignity of the traditional institution with grace, integrity, and selfless service.
The Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Development Awareness (CESDA) also congratulated Princess Egbeyemi, describing the conferment as a fitting recognition of her impactful contributions to community service, compassionate leadership, and advocacy for women, children, and vulnerable groups.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Ogunko Oluwaseyi Simisola, the organisation noted that the title is reserved for individuals of exceptional character and profound societal impact.
CESDA further prayed that the honour would strengthen her resolve to continue serving humanity and contributing meaningfully to national development.
Several prominent political figures within the Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) also congratulated Princess Egbeyemi on the prestigious honour.
They described the conferment as well deserved and prayed that her new status would usher in greater opportunities for service to Ado-Odo Kingdom, Ogun State, and Nigeria as a whole.
