A former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Remmy Hazzan, has expressed confidence that the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, led by Olamilekan Solomon Adeola and his running mate, Kudirat Adegunwa Balogun, will accelerate development and deliver good governance across the state.
Hazzan, who represented the same local government area as Balogun during his time in the state assembly, described her nomination as a “well-deserved recognition” of her competence, integrity, and longstanding service to the people.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the new deputy governorship candidate for APC was unveiled by the party leadership on Saturday in Abeokuta.
Hazzan declared that the choice of Balogun as deputy governorship candidate had generated widespread excitement among party faithful and stakeholders, noting that it reflected the APC’s commitment to inclusiveness and gender representation in governance.
According to him, the decision underscores the party’s readiness to promote capable women into strategic leadership positions, thereby strengthening public confidence in the democratic process.
He added that Balogun’s grassroots appeal and administrative experience would complement Adeola’s leadership, forming a formidable team capable of addressing the developmental needs of Ogun State.
“The Adeola–Balogun ticket represents a blend of experience, competence, and dedication to service. It is well-positioned to deliver effective governance, stimulate economic growth, and expand infrastructure development across the state,” he said.
He urged residents of Ogun State to support the APC candidates in the forthcoming election, expressing optimism that the ticket would usher in inclusive governance and improved living standards.
Hazzan further maintained that the partnership would ensure that the dividends of democracy reach all parts of the state, while sustaining progress in key sectors of the economy.
