Gaming and entertainment platform BetKing has officially launched BetKing TV, a new digital content channel aimed at blending sports, entertainment and youth culture for Nigerian audiences.
The channel was unveiled at the company’s headquarters in Lagos, marking BetKing’s latest expansion into original digital content and entertainment-driven engagement.
The TV platform features a lineup of original programmes designed to capture the conversations and interests of young Nigerians across sports, pop culture and online trends.
Among the flagship shows is Banter FC, a football discussion programme hosted by former Big Brother Naija housemates Kulture and Denari. The show delivers football debates and fan banter in a relaxed, humorous style, similar to conversations commonly heard at viewing centres and among friends.
Another programme, K’s Kourt, hosted by sports enthusiast Kaybobo, broadens the conversation beyond football by covering basketball, UFC, Formula 1, tennis and other global sporting events.
The channel will also feature Playing Games, hosted by GigiJasmine and Doris, a culture-focused show centred on trending online conversations, lifestyle discussions and entertainment topics shaping youth culture in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch, Nengi Akinola, Head of Marketing at BetKing Nigeria, said the platform is designed to create relatable, authentic content that resonates with young audiences.
“BetKing TV is not just about following conversations in sports and entertainment; it’s about actively shaping them by producing relatable and authentic content,” she said.
Managing Director of KingMakers and Chief Executive Officer of BetKing, Gossy Ukanwoke, described the initiative as part of a broader strategy to deepen audience engagement beyond gaming.
“This launch signals a broader shift in our engagement strategy, placing a greater emphasis on storytelling, entertainment and community participation beyond traditional gaming interactions,” he stated.
According to him, the company is also investing heavily in original content production, talent development and digital distribution as part of its long-term vision for the platform.
The launch of BetKing TV reflects the growing demand for locally driven digital entertainment platforms that combine sports, lifestyle, and youth-focused storytelling, while giving Nigerian voices and creators a larger online platform.
