… Allies Express Confidence In APC Senator’s Prospects
An Ogun-based political support network coordinated by the Secretary to Imeko-Afon Local Government, Nafiu Olawale Abimbola for Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on Monday, received a fleet of vehicles and campaign materials aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.
The items were donated in Ikeja by a United States-based Nigerian technocrat, Fakunle Taohid Tunde, through his foundation, in collaboration with Abimbola, who also coordinates a statewide support group for the senator.
The presentation, which took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja, followed a closed-door meeting involving Adeola and key political stakeholders.
Among the vehicles donated was a Ford F-150 pickup truck, said to be designated for convoy use, while other Sports Utility Vehicles would be deployed across different parts of Ogun State to support campaign logistics and outreach.
In addition to the vehicles, the donor unveiled a large consignment of campaign materials, including branded face caps, vests, posters and exercise books intended for distribution to students and residents across the state.
Supporters at the event described the intervention as a boost to the senator’s governorship ambition, noting that it would deepen mobilisation efforts and expand visibility at the grassroots.
Speaking during the presentation, Abimbola expressed optimism about the chances of the Adeola candidacy, stating that the support group would intensify efforts to consolidate backing across Ogun communities.

He also offered prayers for the success of the project, citing his recent return from the Hajj pilgrimage.
Other allies, including Babatunde Olaotan, Otunba Sanusi Adeniyi and Asiwaju Oladayo Oladipupo, were commended for their roles in organising the meeting and sustaining the support structure.
