The Group Managing Director of Citygate Group of Companies in Nigeria, Chief Mike Duru Ejiogu, has called for Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu because his Renewed Hope Housing Project will benefit all categories of Nigerians.
He spoke after Renewed Hope People Advocacy (RHPA), a grassroot support group for president Tinubu decorated him as their national Patron in Abuja on Monday.
Speaking on housing deficit in Nigeria he said, “We are already helping the government to improve the deficit through the FCT programmes. The FCT has been able to allocate estate plots to developers, and also develop houses for the people.
“And if you’re also aware, recently the President has commissioned Renewed Hope housing projects, which we’re equally a partaker. So with all these programmes, I’m sure before the end of Mr. President’s second term, we should be able to have provided a whole lot of houses for Nigerians.
“We have luxury homes, and we also have low-income earners’ homes. That is why I said we should be thankful to Mr. President for bringing Renewed Hope housing projects. The governments are donating the lands.
“Governors are donating the lands for free. So since the land is donated for free, we are only going to charge for the cost of building, and especially the Renewed Hope projects in the rural communities. The cost of land there is not that expensive, and like I said, it’s given for free.
“Therefore, we are going to build houses that suit the area. Maybe bungalows and all those other housing types that the common man can afford. So the project is coming in phases.” He emphasised
On his role as a Patron of the group he said, “I’m going to support the Renewed Hope People Advocacy to ensure that we take the advocacy to every nook and cranny of Nigeria to make sure that those who do not know what the President has done, will know about it, and those who are doubtful will also be convinced so that we all work together to give the President another mandate, for him to be able to complete his programmes, which is very important to Nigeria.”
The Chairman of the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, and the Governing Council Chairman of the Federal University of Lafayette, and the Chairman of the Chairmen of all the twelve river basin authorities in Nigeria who is the Board of Trustees Chairman, RHPA, Dr Amos Gizo, said Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election based on his performance when he was Lagos State governor. But now as the president things have been made easier for him to win based on his performance as the president. “2023 elections were won by the multiple support groups that Mr. President had. This time around, it had been made easier.
“At that particular time, people were looking at what Mr. President did in Lagos as a governor. But it is easier now that he has become a national figure, and as the President of this country, he has, within a very short time, proven to people that he is the leader, not only for Lagos State, but for the entire Nigeria.”
The National Publicity of RHPA, Olatayo Adepuji appreciated the Patron who donated an office to the group and said the group will “strategise by penetrating communities and convincing Nigerians to vote for Tinubu in 2027.”
