Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has urged her supporters, known as the “Toyin Titans,” to quit abusing her former protégé, Pelumi Olawuni, also known as Abike Shugaa, amid their ongoing public feud.
In a short Snapchat video posted on Monday, the actress begged fans to forgive and move on from the recent social media scandal.
“Please, to everybody, it’s okay. Please forgive her,” Abraham said, pausing intermittently as she addressed her followers directly.
She acknowledged that anger is a natural human reaction but stressed the need for restraint.
“There is no one that cannot get angry. Even Jesus was angry… let everything slide. This is a new week. Toyin Titans, no distractions, please,” she added.
The actress also called for a shift in focus, hinting at upcoming projects and a busy release schedule.
“We have a big task ahead of us. We have a lot of YouTube movies coming, and we have a bigger task ahead of us in December,” she said.
Abraham further reflected on past controversies, referencing a period during which she faced intense online backlash after supporting President Bola Tinubu.
“For those asking why I didn’t spill the tea in 2023 and 2024… they were bashing me that period, they wanted to kill me,” she said.
She, however, suggested that the experience with Abike Shugaa and recent feedback had reshaped her approach to relationships and boundaries.
“You said create boundaries, I will create boundaries. You said I should stop helping people, no problem. I have learnt my lesson, her too has learnt hers. Let it slide, let us change the topic,” she added.
Her plea comes amid new developments surrounding Abike, who said on Sunday that she received a privacy notification from YouTube regarding a video describing the conflict.
According to the message, the platform identified specific timestamps as potential privacy concerns, giving her the option to delete or remove the content before further evaluation. No strikes or penalties have been issued thus far.
Abike responded sarcastically, mocking what she claimed was a planned effort by detractors to mass-report the video.
