Manchester United were held to a 1‑1 draw by West Ham United in a Premier League clash at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening.

West Ham opened the scoring early in the second half when Tomáš Souček fired home in the 50th minute to give the hosts the lead.

United responded late in the game, with Benjamin Sesko grabbing a 90⁺6 minute equaliser, earning the Red Devils a late point.

The match was played in front of a lively crowd, with both sides creating chances, but United had to settle for a draw after Sesko’s late strike ensured they avoided defeat.

PUNCH Online reports that the draw with West Ham brought an end to Manchester United’s four‑game winning run under interim manager Michael Carrick, who had taken over in place of Ruben Amorim and guided United to four straight victories in the Premier League.

The late equaliser from substituted Sesko protected Carrick’s perfect start, with the game, however, the first time United have dropped points since his appointment while still keeping their unbeaten record intact.

United stay in fourth place in the table with 45 points from 26 games, while West Ham move to 24 points from the same number of matches, two points away from the safety zone.
