It was a fusion of beauty and beats as Mavin Records, owned by celebrity producer Don Jazzy, partnered with BeautybyTejj Studio to host the Master Your Face masterclass in celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD).
The intimate, interactive beauty experience brought 15 women together for a day centered on artistry, self-care and the foundational bonds of girlhood.
Aligned with the 2026 IWD theme: #GiveToGain, the event held at the corporate head office of Mavin Records in Lagos, was an intentional investment in women.
Beyond teaching practical makeup skills, the session aimed to instill a newfound sense of self-confidence and a deeper connection to personal beauty.
Described as “warm, electric and deeply personal”, the environment was designed to ensure every woman walks out feeling more renewed and different from when they walked in.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Olateju Aderonke Omoyajowo, Creative Director and Lead Makeup Artist at BeautybyTejj Studio, said: “We were striving to do more than just apply makeup; we wanted to convey the true essence of IWD – confidence, self-worth and celebration. That’s exactly what the women took home with them.”
For Mavin Records, the partnership marked the 5th anniversary of its dedicated IWD initiative. The label continues to champion women across various industries, upholding a long-standing belief in celebrating women “boldly and without apology.”
By uniting the technical expertise of BeautybyTejj with Mavin’s cultural influence, the partnership reinforced a shared vision: that every woman deserves to be seen, celebrated and empowered to show up in her full brilliance.
The event was supported by key makeup brands including Face Coat and BBT Essentials (sister brands of BeautybyTejj), alongside Ruddy Cosmetics, whose contributions were vital in bringing the vision to life.
