Fast-rising Nollywood actor, Sam Sunny, has weighed in on the raging social media storm surrounding popular singer Chike, Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, describing the singer’s current predicament as the ultimate nightmare for any performing artist.
Taking to his social media page, the Spicy movie star didn’t mince words as he analysed the fallout of public scandals on a celebrity’s brand, praying never to find himself in a similar dilemma.
According to the actor, the public dissection of a star’s private life, especially regarding sexual escapades, is a dangerous territory that rarely yields a positive outcome, regardless of whether the rumours are true or fabricated.
Expressing his deep reservations about the nature of modern celebrity culture and social media commentary, Sam Sunny warned that what some might perceive as “clout” or public support is, in fact, a trap.
“As a performing artist, whether you are an actor, musician, comedian, or any other entertainment figure, the worst situation you could ever face is the current dilemma Chike has taken on,” the actor stated.
He further elaborated on his stance, emphasising his desire to keep his name clean from messy public narratives involving women and unsolicited internet commentary.
“Having women make or assert unsolicited comments on social media about my sexual exploits as if they support my escapades, whether true or untrue, as a married woman or a single lady, is not something I want to be associated with. It never ends well. May I never be found cursed in such a way, disguised as a blessing,” he added.
Sam Sunny’s comments come on the heels of intense online chatter regarding the singer, Chike, and his alleged affairs with Frank Edoho’s estranged wife, Sandra Edoho.
