It was a night of music, networking, and artistic showcase as Evolution Records officially unveiled its newest signee, Divine Reo, at an event held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel. The unveiling ceremony attracted industry stakeholders, media personalities, and music enthusiasts who gathered to witness the introduction of a rising talent into Nigeria’s vibrant music scene. Among notable attendees was singer Sexy Steel, alongside other key players in the entertainment industry.
Guests were treated to live performances and interactive sessions that highlighted Divine Reo’s vocal ability, artistry, and stage presence.
Speaking at the event, the budding artiste, a final-year student of the University of Port Harcourt, shared insights into her musical journey and creative direction. She noted that her sound, which she describes as Afro R&B, is deeply rooted in storytelling and relatability.
According to the rising artist, her music draws inspiration from personal experiences and aims to connect with listeners across different age groups. She also credited her early start in church and her mother as key influences in her journey, while listing artistes such as Tems, Tyla, Tiwa Savage, and Ayra Starr as sources of inspiration.
Divine Reo further revealed plans to host a mini concert in the near future and expressed her long-term ambition to release a full album and collaborate with other artistes.
In his welcome address, co-founder of Evolution Records, Henry Kufre, also known as “Henry Pundit,” emphasised the label’s commitment to nurturing talent in a supportive and pressure-free environment.
“Our goal is not to put pressure on our artiste or bully her in any way. We just want the world to see her talent and what she can do,” he said, adding that the label aims to contribute to increasing the number of top female artists in Nigeria.
Also speaking, co-founder Dike Isaac reiterated that the label was founded on passion rather than profit, stressing its dedication to fairness, integrity, and artist development.
