Di Presidential Election Tribunal go begin di hearing of di petitions wey dey filed by aggrieved opposition parties against di election of di President-elect, Bola Tinubu today, Monday May 8.

Remember say following di declaration of Tinubu of di All Progressives Congress, APC, as winner of di February 25 presidential poll, some candidates wey  APC defeat for di race don approach di court to seek redress. Also, dem claim say di election bin dey rigged in favour of di ruling party.

According to report, Atiku Abubakar of di Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, hin Labour Party counterpart, Pete Obi and others don approach di tribunal to upturn Tinubu victory on di grounds of substantial non-compliance with di provisions of di Constitution, di Electoral Act and thedi guidelines of di Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for di conduct of di poll.

Atiku, wey be former vice president, drop hin petition on five grounds. Hin dey ask di court say ake dem order di electoral body to conduct a fresh election following claim of irregularities for polling units during di presidential poll.

Atiku and his party yarn say Tinubu bin dey declare winner of di election when all results and accreditation data from polling units neva dey transmitted and uploaded by INEC.

Obi, a former Anambra governor follow claim say different irregularities happen during di conduct of di election, hin insist say Tinubu and hin running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima,no dey qualified to contest.
