24 hours after High Court wey dey Federal Capital Territory direct di release of suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, from detention, another High Court for Abuja on Friday, nullify hin arrest and continued detention by the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to judgment upon an Originating Motion on Notice brought wey dem carry go Court by Mr. Emefiele, against Incorporated Trustees of Forum for Accountability and Good Leadership, di Attorney General of di Federation (AGF), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Inspector General of Police, State Security Service (SSS) and di Central Bank of Nigeria, presiding Judge yarn say di arrest, detention and interrogation of Emefiele dey in contravention of di subsisting judgment and orders of Justice M. A. Hassan in Suit No. FCT/HC/GAR/CV/41/2022.

Mr. Emefiele through hin Counsel, Mr. Peter Abang, bin ask court make dem set aside, quash, invalidate and nullify di arrest and detention of di Applicant for being illegal and a nullity in view of di subsisting judgment of Justice M. A. Hassan delivered on December 29, 2022.
In reaction to di latest judgment, Counsel to Mr Emefiele tell journalists say beyond di release of hin client, Nigerians must celebrate di fact say Nigerian judges despite several acts of intimidation by security agencies and some unfavourable conditions still dey dispense justice.
