Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State talk say leadership failure over the years na the reason why youth wey get brilliant ideas dey waka commot go places wey dem fit showcase their talents.

Im talk say, as long as the hope of plenty Nigerians no dey met, the brain drain syndrome wey dem popularly call ‘JAPA’ go still dey happun.

The governor yarn say leadership for any level suppose sabi wetin the people need and fit meet those expectations.

Him talk say, “When anticipation match expectations, e go bring social peace and stability. If hope no dey met because leadership no dey ready to meet am, e go lead to brain drain – people waka go places wey their ideas fit blossom, wey we now dey call JAPA syndrome.

“The youth of today wan JAPA. The old people dey remember the past with joy but get small regret. If people still dey reason say the past of the nation better pass the present, e mean say we suppose reassess the role of leadership and the responsibility of citizenship for nation-building.”

Also, Zulum beg Nigerians make dem no put all the responsibility for leaders’ table. Him talk say, “Nigeria don reach level wey we suppose move from potential greatness to actual greatness. People don talk about the potential wey Nigeria get for years. Na time for this generation to turn that potential into actual greatness for education, infrastructure, basic services, security, and create environment wey go promote creativity.
