Yobe: Elections no go hold for 11 polling units – INEC
Di Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), for Yobe State don reveal say dem no go conduct elections for eleven polling units across four local government areas.
Also, di state get 2,823 polling units across di 17 local government areas.
Di Resident Electoral Commissioner for di state, Ibrahim Abdullahi make di revelation for inside recent stakeholders’ engagement for Damaturu.
He yarn say di affected polling units dey located for Bursari, Fika, Jakusko and Yusufari local government areas, and he mention say di Commission no go deploy human and materials to those units due to zero registrants.
According to di electoral umpire, Yobe state get a total of 1,445,000 registered voters for this year’s elections. Also, elections no go take place for some of di polling units for Yobe because of zero registrants
