South African Police Officers Under Arrest For Beating Nigerian To Coma
Di Nigerian Consulate for Johannesburg in partnership with di South African police don effect di arrest of four policemen wey alleged beat one Nigerian to coma.
E dey gathered say arrest di policemen yesterday for di Boksburg North Police Station by di Independent Police Investigative Directorate, reports NAN.
Also, di arrest follow di complaint wey di consulate lodge on the assault, from di tori, di assault cause serious damage to di health of victim.
One official of di consulate, Elizabeth Wale-Ayodele, recall say di incident happen on January 9 for Boksburg.

She yarn say Two weeks ago, 9th January, 2023, one Nigerian bin dey assaulted for Boksburg by four policemen. And, dem receive di information for do consulate and immediately di CG (Consul General), Mr Andrew Idi, bin come two weeks ago to pay visit to di victim.
“He (di victim) bin collect serious beaten, even when he complain say hin get kidney issues. Na so he enter coma and na now like that hin dey now for nine days.
“So, when di victim come out of coma, di CG bin dey there to visit. Also di consulate dey follow up di case up till this moment, according to Elizabeth Wale-Ayodele.
Based on report, di four officers wey South African Police arrest in connection with di assault on di Nigerian, dey face charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
