IEP report – Naija don lose about N50trn to Violence for one Year.
On Wednesday, The Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP), IEP result reveal for their 2021-2022 report (January 2021 to June 2022) say violence affect eight per cent of Naija Gross Domestic Product, and he make the country’s lose about ₦50 trillion within 18 months.
The report, follow one research on violence and the effect wey e don get for the country economy. Dem tok say Naija government don spent at least ₦8 trillion for security but up till now, dem never get better result for the money wey dem spend for security.
For the report, dem tok say as violence dey increase, e don make am overpower the governors and dem no fit do anything because of the constitution.

‘According to IEP result, “Nigeria lost about ₦50.38 trillion to growing violence in 2021.The Nigerian government don spend at least ₦8 trillion for security provision without achieving the desired results.

Report wey dem bring, come from the calculation of the violent activities across the country. Some of the activities na, bandits attacks on vulnerable villages for Northwest.
The violent activities for North central Nigeria , include village raids, sexual violence, ransom kidnapping, killings, and large-scale livestock wey don affect the livelihoods of 21 million people for Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Sokoto, and Zamfara states.
