More banks don suspend international transactions on naira cards
Guaranty Trust Bank Plc don join di growing list of Nigerian banks to suspend international transactions of dia naira-denominated Mastercard.
According to di bank, this suspension go take effect from December 31, 2022, as di bank no go support international online and Point of Sale transactions on those cards. Di bank stated say dia dollar cards go still dey supporting international transactions.

Dem announce this update for letter to dia customers.
Na wetin dey di letter be this; “Dear customer, we write to inform you that you will no longer b able to use your Naira Mastercard for international online and POS transactions effective 31st December 2022. Kindly note that you can use your GTBank dollar card for all your international spending requirements.”
Di bank add say di dollar card allow ATM withdrawal of $1,000 daily or di equivalent for di transaction local currency and e no get limit to international PoS or online transactions.
