Peter Obi no dey qualified to contest presidential poll – APC tell tribunal

Di All Progressives Congress APC, party don ask di tribunal make dem dismiss di petition with on di grounds say e lack merit and e dey foolish.

Also, di All Progressives Congress APC, on Monday, pray say make di Presidential Election Petition Court PEPC for Abuja dismiss di petition wey dey filed by di Labour Party (LP) and dia Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi. Dis na petition wey dem file against di emergence of Sen. Bola Tinubu as president-elect for di February 25 election.

Also, di APC 4th respondent, suggest to PEPC say make dem reject di petition for di notice of preliminary objection wey dey marked: CA/PEPC/03/2023. And e dey filed for PEPC Secretariat on Monday night by Thomas Ojo, a member of di party legal team wey dey led by Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, in Abuja.

In addition, di News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report say Obi, di 1st petitioner, and LP, di 2nd petitioner, sue di Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu, Sen. Kashim Shettima and APC as 1st to 4th respondents, respectively.

Di petitioners dey seek di nullification of di election victory of Tinubu and Shettima for di Feb. 25 presidential poll.

While former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of di Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) carry second position with 6,984,520 votes for di election, Obi carry third position with 6,101,533 votes.
