Also, di update come some days after di Supreme Court rule say make both di old and new naira notes remain legal tenders until December 31, 2023.
Fanwo explain say di Yahaya Bello administration join other states to pursue di case to ease di hardship wey di unavailability of cash cause.
In addition, For Kogi state, he yarn say e dey unacceptable as some persons and businesses continue to reject di old naira notes, even after di court don validate dia use.
According to di commissioner, hin stress say rejecting di old naira notes na clear disobedience of di Supreme Court ruling.
Make anybody wey reject di old naira notes dey reported to security and government authorities for immediate action. Also, banks wey refuse to accept old naira deposits go dey sealed.”
In addition, Fanwo warn say di government no go accommodate financial institutions wey willfully disobey court orders, moreso, di orders of di highest court for Nigeria”.
“Since di banks dey issue di old naira notes, dem dey bound to also receive am. We no fit continue to kill our economy after the Supreme Court don granted us freedom.”
