Petrol price hike dey insensitive, PDP, LP tell APC, Presidency

FOLLOWING di increment for di pump price of petrol from N488 to between N568 and N617 per litre, di Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and di Labour Party, LP, yesterday, reject di hike. Dem describe am as an act of provocation by di All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration against Nigerians.

While di PDP accuse di APC of extreme insensitivity and wickedness towards Nigerians, di LP,  yarn say na di beginning of hard times wey Nigerians go face under di current administration.

Also, human rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, SAN, yesterday, insist say di Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL, need to dey restrained from further fixing of di prices of petroleum products for di Kontri.

Meanwhile, di House of Representatives, also yesterday, decide to set up ad-hoc committee to look into di constant increase in fuel prices.

APC dey provoke Nigerians with fuel price hike- PDP

Faulting di recent hike in petrol price, PDP accuse di ruling party of extreme insensitivity and callousness towards Nigerians.

The National Publicity Secretary of di PDP, Mr Debo Ologunagba, insist say di new subsidy regime, wey enjoy di endorsement of di APC-led administration, dey worsen economic situation wey dey hard already.

“The party cautions that the increase is worsening the already suffocating economic situation under the APC and has the capability of triggering a very serious crisis in the country if not abated.” Dis na wetin Ologunagba tok inside statement.
