Presidential election: Obi, Atiku don start battle to upturn Tinubu victory
With di 2023 presidential election wey dey over now, di battle don shift go Court where di candidates of di Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi and that of di Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar make push to invalidate Bola Tinubu victory.
Tinubu of di All Progressives Congress, APC, bin dey declared winner of di Feb. 25 election by di Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to di results wey di Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu read out, Tinubu poll a total of 8,794,726 to defeat hin closest rivals and candidates of di Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of di Labour Party, LP wey scored 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 respectively.
Rabiu Kwankwaso of di New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, scored 1,496,687, while di votes of di other political parties put together na 666,298.
Also, Tinubu bin fulfill di 25 percent votes from 24 States as e dey specified for di Electoral Act 2022.

However, di LP and di PDP dey lament say magu magu dey there. And na wetin make dem insist say dem win di election. Obi and Atiku don start the legal battle against Tinubu victory for court.
Obi of di LP bin ask for order to stop di INEC from reconfiguring di BVAS wey dem use for di election. Also, di party dey hopeon di BVAS to prove di case before di court. But di INEC counter di application. INEC insist say e go affect di governorship and di State Houses of Assembly election.
Meanwhile, di Court also on Wednesday grant permission to di President-elect, Tinubu, to get direct access to di server of di Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to inspect all materials wey dem use for presidential election.
Justice Joseph Ikwegh wey deliver di ruling yarn say hin dey satisfiedsay merit dey for di request of Tinubu to access, inspect and make photocopy of documents wey hin need for whatever purpose.
