Nigerian farmers don suffer about 80 per cent crop loss to pests and diseases for estimation of 1.5 to 200,000 hectares of land for 2022, report by National Agricultural Extension and Research Liason Services (NAERLs) na hin bring this update.
According to di report, di crops wey e affect pass na; maize, rice, sorghum, millet, soybean, groundnut, cowpea for thirty-three states including root and tubers, fruit and vegetables and tree crops.

Di 2022 Wet Season Agricultural Performance Survey for Nigeria show say Abia, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Ekiti, FCT, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa  Osun, Plateau and Rivers states record more than 20 per cent crop post-harvest loss.

Report still show October this year, 34 out of di 36 States and FCT na hin flood affect. Di flood affect 1,411,051 pipo and  about 500 na hin kpai because of di flood.

On top di matter, 1,546 pipo get injury, 37,633 houses, loss of livestock and crops for some farmland na hin dem report say flood destroy. Di states wey e affect pass na Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kano, Kogi, Niger and Taraba.
