Banks dey battle shortage of new naira notes

E remain Eight days to January 31, di deadline wey Central Bank of Nigeria set to stop the old N1,000, N500, and N200 notes from being legal tender.  Banks Automated Teller Machines for Lagos, Abuja and other parts of di country still dey dispensing old notes. E kon be like say banks dey battle shortage of new naira notes.

Up till today, some banks ATM still dey dispense old naira notes, despite CBN assurance to make sure say di new naira note circulate.

Although, according to report,  some of di ATMs for Lagos, Abuja, Ogun, Osun, and Gombe, among others, dey dispense di new notes, but banks still dey load di ATMs with old naira note wey go dey phase out by di CBN in about a week time.

Report still show say bank ATMs along Ikotun-Idimu Road, Lagos on Sunday morning, dey dispense di old notes, na only a few dem dey  dispense di new notes.

For di Guaranty Trust Bank on 50, Ogunusi Road, Ojodu area of Lagos, all di three ATMs to di main building of di bank dey dispense old notes.

Although some bank customers yarn ay dem receive di newly redesigned notes,  but, some of di machines still dey dispensing di old note.

Di ATMs for inside di premises of GTBank for Gate, Oke-Afa, Lagos, dey dispense mixture of old and new notes, and di old notes plenty pass di new ones.
