President Bola Tinubu don return to Nigeria on Tuesday night afta e spend two weeks for Paris, France on private visit. E presidential jet, wey dem dey call NAF 001, land for Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for Abuja around 9 pm. Top government officials like hin Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, don dey ground to welcome am. Other dignitaries wey dey among people wey welcome am na Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri; Director-General of the Department of State Service, Yusuf Bichi, and many others.

Although dem neva talk wetin make Tinubu travel go France, dem bin talk say the Nigerian leader go return “for the first week of February 2024,” for one statement wey dem release on January 24. On Tuesday, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris, talk say Tinubu don give order for immediate actions wey go help reduce suffering and stop security situation from getting worse. The minister talk dis one after one meeting wey dem hold for Special Presidential Committee on Emergency Food Intervention, wey Femi Gbajabiamila, Presido Chief of Staff, dey chair for Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

After the meeting wey happun on Tuesday, wey na the first of three meetings wey dem go hold, Mohammed talk to journalists, “Na special presidential committee to address issue of food scarcity or lack of enough food on top table for many Nigerians. Wetin I fit tell Nigerians na say the President don give order say government need to intervene to stop dis wahala. Government no go just look and see how Nigerians dey suffer because of lack of food items.

Idris, wey argue say Nigeria no get scarcity of food, talk say Federal Government dey discuss with millers and major commodity traders to make dem bring more supply, so dat e go reduce price of some items. E still yan say some people dey take advantage of high food prices and devaluation of naira to cause trouble.
