Di candidate of di All Progressives Congress poll total of 8,794,726 votes to defeat hin closest rival of di Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, wey poll total of 6,984,520 votes for di election while Peter Obi of di Labour Party come third for di election with a total of 6,101,533 votes and Rabiu Kwankwaso of di NNPP come fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
