House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila carry people hope yesterday as hin talk say the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) go soon dey over.
Femi Gbajabiamila share the tip after hin meet with ASUU leadership and Minister of State for Education Goodluck Oppiah for Abuja when nobody dey there.
Before the closed-door session, the Speaker advise the Federal Government and ASUU make dem make submission on the controversial issue wey don make the strike long like this.

The matter wey dey ground na because of the Memorandum of Action (MoA) wey dem sign for December 2020 about money for the renewal of the public universities; non-payment of Earned Academic Allowances for lecturers; non-renegotiation of 2009 agreement and government refusal to deploy the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) as platform for payment of ASUU member wage.
