Manufacturers don kick against planned electricity tariff increase

Di Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN, on Monday, warn against di negative consequences of di proposed increase in tariff by DisCos.

Report follow yarn say di distribution company of Nigeria don plan an increased tariff with effect from July 1, 2023.

However, inside statement by di Director General of MAN, Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kadir, he yarn say manufacturers spend at least N144.5bn to source alternative energy in 2022, up from N77.22bn in 2021. Dat one translates to about 87% increase for di cost of access to alternative energy sources by manufacturers within a year.
