Sexual harassment: UNICAL student protest against varsity don
Plenty female law students of di University of Calabar, UNICAL don stage protest for di institution. Dem accuse one Prof Cyril Ndifon, Dean of Faculty of Law, of di University, say hin dey always harassing dem sexually.
Na on Monday afternoon dem comot in groups for di campus dey chant ‘Ndifon, go! go!’
Also, di students display placards with different captions, including “Ndifon Must Go!” “We’re tired of sucking dicks for marks”, “Law Girls Are Not Bonanza”, “Prof Ndifon Must Stop Grabbing our Bum Bum”.
President of di Law Students Association of Nigeria, LAWSAN, Unical branch, Comrade Benedict Otu na hin lead di students for di protest against Ndifon.
However, Prof Ndifon tok say all di allegations wey dem about di sexual harassment na lie.
Also, hin claim say di protest by di law students dey masterminded by some persons for di faculty wey don swear to pull am down.
Ndifon claim say di allegations from di students na bareface lies and dia aim na to tarnishing hin image.
Also, Ndifon claim say di LAWSAN president cajol some students make dem come di meeting venue, only to dish out placards wear carry false representations against am (Ndifon).
Meanwhile, di Vice Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi don assure di students say di issues go dey addressed.
