Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) don advice di Federal Government to slash di salaries of the National Assembly members by 50 percent and use am fix di pressing demand of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Ndume yarn dis one  while reacting to di half-pay salary wen federal government pay ASUU members for Maiduguri on Thursday.

Di former Senate Leader advise di federal government to Create better committee wen dey patriotic and understand everything about Nigerian education system to meet with di leaders of ASUU to address di matter wen dey between dem.

Hin tok say, “Even if na to reduce di sitting allowance or pay di National  Assembly small small allowance whenever dey sit at di Lower and upper chambers,for meetings.

Ali tok say by cutting down of some expenses out of di budget of di federal lawmakers to settle di issue of ASUU go dey helpful well well.

Ndume tok say di National Assembly only go for sittings once or twice in a week and get paid with such kind of amount

According to Ndume, civil servants wen work from home during di COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic FG pay dia full monthly salaries and allowances.

Hin con tok say, “why federal government go cut down university lecturers’ salaries because say dey go on legitimate strike?

Constitutionally,dem dey fight for dia right and privileges.

As a matter of fact Ndume tok say di legislative chambers, no dey do any work,so make federal government slash dia salaries and den use am  pay ASUU.
